VIKINGS 2011 DRAFT PICKS
[ad#300x250inpost]
Vikings.com released the round-by-round picks the Vikings will have in the 2011 NFL draft. The good news is that we have eight picks and that we pick in the upper thirdish of each round. The bad news is that we do not have a pick in the third round and have nothing to show for that void thanks to the brilliance that was once known as Brad Childress. The good news is that Rick Spielman is hankering to fill that hole with a possible trade, according to Dana Wessel of 1500ESPN.com.
The rest of the “overall pick” designations will be determined after compensatory picks are sorted out after free agency, if there is a free agency period. This is how things stand thus far, then:
- Round One: 12th pick (12th overall)
- Round Two: 11th pick (43rd overall)
- Round Three: No pick (traded to New England for Randy Moss & 7th round pick in 2012)
- Round Four: 9th pick
- Round Five: 8th pick
- Round Five: 19th pick from the New York football Giants for Sage Rosenfels and Darius Reynaud
- Round Six: 7th pick
- Round Seven: 13th pick
