We most often see professional athletes using their celebrity for personal gain–endorsements, publicity, etc.–but there’s a flip side to the benefits of celebrity that can be put to use on behalf of someone other than the athlete. Brett Favre‘s visit to 5-year old fan, Anderson Butzine, who has terminal brain cancer, is an example. This video of Favre’s visit was uploaded by the Butzine family.
