Midnight At The Oasis By Maria Muldaur

Until I listened to an interview with Maria Muldaur on Minnesota Public Radio, if I’d have recognized her name at all, it would have been for her one hit song, a jazzy hit from 1974 called Midnight At The Oasis.

If I hadn’t listened to the interview, I wouldn’t have learned the origin of the phrase “Jug Band,” nor have heard some examples of Muldaur’s other work. I would’ve been poorer for it.
