Pioneer Press beat writer Jeremy Fowler had a fascinating piece on Mike Singletary in which he quoted the new Vikings Linebacker/Special Assistant To The Head Coach coach saying part of his role will be to ensure “there are no agendas other than going to the Super Bowl” in the locker room.
It’s fascinating because Singletary essentially just outed himself as a locker room mole, which, you know, could make things a bit awkward between Mike, his players, and his fellow coaches.
TOP 5 DEFENSIVE ENDS
Ray Edwards is likely to leave via free agency but the Vikings have Brian Robison and Everson Griffen and I believe Robison is perfectly capable of filling Edwards’ shoes and will probably be more productive. I do not, therefore, think the Vikings will pick a defensive end high in the draft. If they do, I think it will likely be in the sixth or seventh round. Nevertheless, the following are the top five defensive ends in the 2011 NFL draft, according to DraftCountdown.com, are Robert Quinn, Da’Quan Bowers, Aldon Smith, Adrian Clayborn and Ryan Kerrigan.
