CHANGE OF GAME PLANS?
Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers may be considering a change of plans for this week’s matchup. Last year, Capers employed a game plan that emphasized coverage in order to both defend against Adrian Peterson and to keep Brett Favre from exploiting the blitz, according to PackersNews.com.
If Clay Matthews is suited up on Sunday, any blitzes will likely come from him but the Packers do have a history of using the corner blitz extensively, so there’s that, too. If blitzes are in the Packers game plan, this should be a good indication of how much practice Favre and Randy Moss have together.

GET OVER IT, DUDE
Apparently, Aaron Rogers is still bitter that Brett Favre did not mentor him during their time together in Green Bay. It’s no secret that ain’t Favre’s thing (sorry, TJax/Webb, you’ll just have to watch and learn).
His response to reporters during the conference call for Twin Cities reporters was short and curt, according to Jason Wilde of ESPN Milwaukee: “I just saw him on the field after we played him last year,” Rogers said.
Dude, time to let go.
THE BENEFIT OF AL HARRIS
Contrary to popular opinion, the potential return of Al Harris to the Green Bay Packers lineup does not necessarily bode ill for the Vikings. Harris may be good enough to go after coming off the PUP to play in nickle packages Sunday.
Al Harris has a long and storied history of getting burned by Randy Moss.
LUCK OF THE DRAW
How lucky are we that Percy Harvin decided to spark up a blunt around the time of the NFL scouting combine? As a result, Harvin fell to the Vikings with the 22ned overall pick of the 2009 draft.
Percy, of course, had a standout game against the Cowboys and his 95-yard kick return for a touchdown sparked the Vikings’ comeback victory.
Harvin has earned the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week award for his efforts and it marks the second time he’s done so.
ABDULLAH OUT?
Tom Pelissero of ESPN Twin Cities reports that Husain Abdullah has been sidelined during practice this week. With Abdullah still suffering from the effects of a concussion from last week, it’s a good bet Jamarca Sanford will make his first start of the year at strong safety Sunday.
