Will we see Sidney Rice finally suit up this season on Sunday?
The Pioneer Press‘ Jeremy Fowler has two sources saying Rice will. We’ll know by 3 p.m. today when the Vikings either activate him or keep him where he is on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
If Rice suits up, it couldn’t come at a more opportune time; after having let Randy Moss go, the Vikings need another big receiver who can provide a deep threat.
It’s way too much to ask that he return to his 2009 form at this point in the season but just getting him back on the field will be a plus, especially as a red zone target, where the Vikings have struggled from in close.

There were a lot of three- to five-step drop backs for Jay Cutler during the Bears victory over the Buffalo Bills last week. Quick passing plays. When Cutler took a seven-step drop, more often than not, he was flushed by pressure from the Bills’ front four.
