The Vikings signed wide receiver Emmanuel Arceneaux, formerly of the British Columbia Lions of the Canadian Football League, to a three-year contract, 1500ESPN.com’s Tom Pelissaro reports.
The 23 year-old receiver attended Alcorn State where he had 99 career catches for 1,618 and 12 touchdowns.
The 6’2″, 211 lbs. Arceneaux was among the best receivers in the CFL for both his rookie and sophomore seasons, compiling 130 catches for 1,972 yards for a 15.2 yard average with a long catch of 74 yards and 12 touchdowns. Tweet Emmanuel up: @Eman_Arceneaux.
Arceneaux appears to be a possession-type receiver because you don’t really see him exactly breaking away from defenders in the following highlights. On the plus side, he’s got a great touchdown celebration dance.
