Both Cris Carter and Chris Doleman have been snubbed for the Hall of Fame this year.
Bears defensive end Richard Dent was included in this year’s Hall of Fame class.
Dent recorded 137.5 sacks during his 14 year career, 8 interceptions, and scored one touchdown. He was selected to the Pro Bowl four times. He was a two time first team All Pro selection. Dent played on the winning side in two Super Bowls.
Chris Doleman, by contrast, recorded 150.5 sacks during his 14 year career, forced 44 fumbles, had 8 interceptions, two safeties and scored two touchdowns. Doleman was an eight-time Pro Bowler and a two-time First-Team All-Pro. Watch Chris Doleman’s highlights.
Cris Carter got snubbed again but so did the other receivers. Tight End Shannon Sharpe was elected to the Hall of Fame but it’s an apples to oranges comparison, so I’ll just let that one slide without comment but a lot of disappointment.
