Vikings Release Marcus Sherels
The Vikings relesased cornerback and punt returner Marcus Sherels today.
It looks like the Vikings are content to stick with Mike Hughes returning punts, given that Sherels was a health scratch last Sunday against the Lions.
Nevertheless, this kinda sucks because as a Golden Gopher and then as a Viking, he was a beloved player here in Minnesota.
Sherels took five punts to the house during his 10 years in purple, averaging 10.5 yards per return.
